2Corinthians 8:1-2
Now I want you to know, dear brothers and sisters, what God in kindness has done through the churches in Macedonia. They are being tested by many troubles, and they are very poor. But they are also filled with abundant joy, which has overflowed in rich generosity.
This is such a cool verse. I think about third world countries and wonder, “how can these people be so happy with nothing?” And then I remember this verse. God will fill your heart so full if you are willing to let down your guard. Sometimes we build up this wall of insecurity and unbelief that does not allow us to be filled with the Holy Spirit. My challenge to you is to try to break down that wall and just watch what God can do with your heart. Watch how much abundant joy can fill you.
